The Uninvited opens Thursday, November 7th

Redlands Footlighters continues its sixty-eighth season with the stage version of Dorothy Macardle’s classic ghost story, The Uninvited. Adapted by Tim Kelly, this thrilling tale of ghosts and dark secrets was first famous as a novel in 1942. Audiences will remember it as a classic 1944 movie with Ray Milland and Ruth Hussey. Audition Information: Play On! November 11 and 12

Redlands Footlighters will hold open auditions for Rick Abbot’s Play On!, directed by Chris Diehl, on November 11 and 12 at 7 pm at the theater, located at 1810 Barton Road, in Redlands. Auditions will consist of cold readings from the script. Resume and headshot are recommended but not required. Rehearsals will be Monday through Thursday 7-9:30 pm starting November 13. Redlands Footlighters and the Women’s Theater Workshop of Riverside come together this weekend to present The Clean House, a whimsical and romantic comedy. Heritage Patio Dedication Ceremony

On Thursday, September 12th, 2013 at 7:30pm a dedication ceremony was held for the newly completed Redlands Footlighters Patio. The patio was named the “Heritage Patio” as part of the City of Redlands 125th anniversary celebrations, and to honor the heritage of the theatre and it’s volunteers, most notably Joe Camp and Carol Steele.  Appropriately the patio overlooks the newly created Heritage Park by the City. Footlighters Begins Its 68th Season

Ushering at Redlands Bowl

Thank you to the great group who came out and helped pass the red bowls! Footlighters had the opportunity to help usher at the Redlands Bowl for the Friday, August 1, performance of The Sound of Music. It was a great opportunity to get together, have some food and wine, and watch a fantastic show! Congratulations to the cast, crew, director, designers, and musicians for giving us such a wonderful production.

Summer Youth Theatre Workshop

For the 5th year, the Footlighters Theatre was excited to offer a Summer Youth Theatre Workshop, led by Pat Adeff. The children involved put on The Quest, a Celtic Medieval tale, with an original score by Derek Fiechter. The Quest took place in a magical, peaceful kingdom. The land was filled with colorful characters including dragons, magic trees, fairies, druids, a royal court, an evil family, and a sword wielding heroine. Footlighters Awards Scholarships to Redlands Seniors

At the annual awards banquette, the Footlighters were proud to award $1,000 scholarships to three students who have been active in theater arts programs at their high schools and in local community theaters. For the first time, the Footlighters gave a scholarship to a Citrus Valley High School graduate. Alexis Scanlon, who was unable to attend the ceremony, received the scholarship for Citrus Valley High School. Scanlon was most recently in the Footlighters’ production of “Southern Hospitality.” She plans to attend a four-year college and […]
