On Thursday, September 12th, 2013 at 7:30pm a dedication ceremony was held for the newly completed Redlands Footlighters Patio. The patio was named the “Heritage Patio” as part of the City of Redlands 125th anniversary celebrations, and to honor the heritage of the theatre and it’s volunteers, most notably Joe Camp and Carol Steele.  Appropriately the patio overlooks the newly created Heritage Park by the City.

Footlighter’s president Vicki Janis started the ceremony off by talking about the history of Footlighters, and how the money was raised to create the covered patio space for patrons. She unveiled a dedication plaque that will become part of the patio.  Long time Footlighters member and founder Jim Craw gave a touching speech about Joe Camp, and Cynthia Lake introduced Carol Steele and presented her flowers . City of Redlands Councilman Bob Gardner presented a City proclamation and certificate of appreciation, and Daney Bachiu, president of the Redlands Chamber of Commerce helped with the ribbon cutting ceremony.
