The Uninvited opens Thursday, November 7th
Pam and Roddy Fitzgerald (played by Sabrina Foley and Costello Bryan) are siblings looking for a place where she can escape London and he can write. The house they find is badly in need of repairs, but the price is right, since it has stood empty ever since a mysterious death fifteen years previous.
Soon, the Fitzgeralds begin to sense that a spirit inhabits the house. Not willing to walk away from their investment, they choose to try to solve the mystery with the aid of several characters played by Footlighter regulars Eric Gruenler, Catherine Soto, Vicki Janis, Mike Hanrahan, Tamara Lillybridge-Griffey, and Cody Michael Perry as well as newcomer Brandice Mello. The key to the puzzle is Stella (played by Jessica Mullin), a beautiful young girl who is drawn to the house by the ghost of her mother.
“While the story is over seventy years old, it is still a compelling, modern ghost story,“ explains director Tom Hurst. “We chose to set it modern day because of this. It is told in plain language and tight dialogue that is often missing in classic thrillers.”
“This is a perfect show for the traditional Footlighters audience,” he says, “because it is a familiar mystery with the right balance of thrilling elements to be appropriate for all ages.”
The Uninvited opens Thursday, November 7 and runs through November 24. Performances begin at 8:00 p.m. Thursday, Friday, and Saturday and 2:00 p.m. on Sunday. Tickets are $15. For more information, visit RedlandsFootlighters.org or call 909-793-2909.
