The Acting Studio @ Footlighters

The Acting Studio at Redlands Footlighters offers a series of acting classes (or “rounds”) designed to help local actors refine their performance skills and build confidence. Actors with minimal experience are welcome, as well as advanced actors who want to refine their craft. For adults (18 or older).

Round A: Acting Foundations | July 13 – August 3, Saturdays, 9am-12pm

Coursework includes foundations in scenework, voice, speech, and character development.

Register – Round A
Round B: Acting Techniques (Intermediate) | [TBD] Saturdays, 12-3pm

Building on coursework in Round A, students will deepen character development through exercises and challenging scene work. Special workshop on intermediate-level stage combat included.

Instructor: Suzy Pearce

Suzy Pearce is an alumna of CalArts, where she received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Acting. She had the pleasure of being the Theatre Director at Jurupa Valley High School for nine years, where she directed students in such plays as Proof, The Kentucky Cycle, Lend Me a Tenor, an all-female version of Macbeth, as well as musicals such as Beauty and the Beast, among others. Suzy has been acting in the Inland Empire since 2018, playing such roles as Mrs. Gibbs from Our Town (Footlighters), Bella from Lost in Yonkers (Footlighters), and Mary Mallon from Typhoid Mary (Loma Linda University).
