Looking for a place to let your talent shine?

Footlighters is the place for you!

Auditions are open to community members with any level of experience. Though some directors will request special preparation, most auditions are “cold readings” of scenes from the play. Actors may read alone or in groups, depending on the scenes selected. Footlighters auditions are open calls for all roles. In rare cases, some roles are pre-cast, but this information will always be posted along with the audition notice. After the open auditions, directors may continue seeking actors to fill specific roles. Once casting is complete, a cast announcement is posted on the Footlighters Facebook and Instagram pages.

We frequently host workshops for those just getting started or who want to refine their acting craft. Get in touch with us if you are interested in learning more.

Sir John Falstaff, a self-proclaimed ladies’ man, decides to solve his financial crisis by seducing the wives of two successful men, Mistress Ford and Mistress Page. Falstaff’s decision to send identical love letters to the two women sparks a farcical firestorm of revenge, trickery, and mischief. This original version, adapted by Pamela Lambert, emphasizes themes of jealousy and love, and celebrates the ingenuity of women. It’s a fast-paced romp, set in New York in the 1950s, filled with nostalgia and an easter egg or two!
