Shakespeare 101: Audition Preparation Workshop

Saturday, January 24, 2026

Ready to ‘up your game’ for Shakespeare auditions? Then this workshop is for you, and offered just in time for auditions for ‘Merry Wives of Windsor’!

Workshop participants will learn the fundamentals of auditioning for Shakespeare, including scansion and textual context. Registrants will be provided a monologue in advance to use during the session, or they may work with a monologue of their own choosing.

For a deeper dive, a limited number of 1:1 coaching sessions for participants will be offered starting at 12:30pm. Coaching sessions will provide feedback to help improve audition readings and fluency with text and style.

Instructor:

Pamela Lambert is an award winning actor and director. She holds a Masters in Shakespeare in Performance and has studied privately (and performed) with A Noise Within and the Will Geer Theatricum Botanicum. In addition to directing many Shakespearean productions, Pamela has adapted three of the Bard’s plays, including the upcoming version of the ‘Merry Wives of Windsor,’ which she will direct at Redlands Footlighters this season.
