In 1945, four friends had a vision of community theatre in Redlands.
Clock Auditorium
In the early years, the company performed at local venues, including the Redlands Bowl and Clock Auditorium.
The Grove Theater
in 1952, Footlighters found a home and designed the center stage format for its productions.
Breaking Ground
Members purchased land on Barton Road in 1969 and began construction 10 years later.
They built their dream, show by show, year after year.
A New Home
Footlighters' permanent home, built by members and volunteers, opened in 1980.
Historic Neighbors
The theatre is situated next to the historic Asistencia Mission in Redlands.
