Andrew Rally, a young and successful television actor is offered the opportunity to play Hamlet onstage, but there’s one problem: He hates Hamlet. He relocates to New York, where he rents a marvelous apartment previously inhabited by the greatest Hamlet ever: John Barrymore. Barrymore’s ghost, who arrives intoxicated and in full costume, presses Andrew to fulfill his actor’s destiny. The contrast between the two actors leads to a wildly funny duel over women, art, success, duty, television, and yes, the apartment.

I Hate Hamlet is presented by special arrangement with Dramatists Play Service, Inc.
